[QUOTE="Barrelnut, post: 1438403, member: 74902"] Well it is an opinion. And here's another. Since it seems like you will end up with 2 rifles and 1 scope for a while at this point anyway. Being able to move the scope from rifle to rifle might not be a bad idea in the short term. It would allow you to evaluate the scope on both rifles. You may find that you only like the scope on one rifle or not at all. If you only intend to move it a few times for the next year, things might work out well. I wouldn't try to get involved with some QD systems that allow you to move the scope daily. I think these are more for tactical rifles where the scope needs to often be remove for storage or transport and then reconnected to the same rifle. Maybe try some rings like the Leupold PRW that have two screws that clamp the ring to the base. They allow the scope to be remove and replaced fairly easily without messing with the rings scope screws. I use these, but lots of other rings have the same design. If you used identical rails on both rifles and have them bedded so that they will be fairly straight and level. You may be able to move the scope without too much fuss. Then maybe next year after you have evaluated the scope needs on the rifles, then pull out the cash for another scope. Welcome to long range shooting.... Link to some Leupold PRW rings. i think since these are so well priced that Leupold may be discontinuing them in the future. Great rings though.
