I have a Rem 700 308 varmitt,Just upgraded to the Bell and Carson A5 over the A2 stock .The A2 everything fit good and the mag would run.Trying to fit the stock to the Wyatt's plate/mag. The stock the rear pillar is drilled at a angle, the rear hole like were they bolted it to something to machine it mashed the top of the hole, the holes in the stock are off to one side of the bottom metal cut out,on the rear bolt hole had to file the angled pillar just to get the bolt in.all bolted up,everything fitting better now, the mag is bound up in the mag well. Like the directions said put a spacer under the plate, the SS flat washer Ive tried is .054 thick.the gun want run/feed.the bullet tip goes down when ya try to feed,Ive tried change the shim/washer from front to rear ,this makes it bing up again,I'm being told to try a bunch of different thickness's shim/washers,like starting with .020. Does anybody have any advice or experience in this? Stockystocks had sent out another stock A5 replacement and it was machined wrong also, just alike. Bell and Carson was no help!! they said there stocks are made to only fit stock Rem bottom metal.Said I could send it back they would analyze it:rolleyes:That Warranty voided if I modified it,corrected. Wyatt's hasn't respond to any emails or calls this week, Ive been all around town and cant find any shim/washer thinner than .054. The bolts are 1/4 x28.The washer I have is 7mm,od is .465.Ive tried sanding down the SS washer,10 minutes I got .002,lol The other washers Ive measured 1/4 17/64 9/32 are all .050 something thick Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated . Thanks Rob . I bought another Rem700 in 223 and put the old B&C A2 and a new Wyatt's mag kit in it.It all fits good and runs and shoots good.:)
