[QUOTE="nmbarta, post: 1972298, member: 78438"] Hunters against hunters. Fisherman against fisherman. Boaters against boaters.......outdoorsman against outdoorsman......We are our own worst enemies. There are plenty of people that don't want us doing any of the things we argue about. Sure it doesn't mean we have to agree on everything. I've done it myself, I have my opinions on the animals some people hunt and how they choose to hunt them. It doesn't matter if you hunt free range mule deer with a long bow and a broadhead you chipped out of a rock you found on the hunt, or use a 10 thousand dollar rifle to shoot a white tail deer on a ranch at 100 yards, there are a lot of people actively working to stop you from doing what you do. A 15lb rainbow out of a stocked pond with a night crawler, or a 1lb west slope cutthroat out of mountain stream on a hand tied barbless fly and a bamboo rod? Different?....yes.... do both have their place?....yes. Are the two people that caught those fish friends?......not likely. Do the people that want to end the things we love care?.....nope. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be discussions, we just need to be careful who we choose to fight with. We've lost millions of acres of land that we used to be able to enjoy because we can't seem to find a way fight those that we should be fighting.
