[QUOTE="jbronner13, post: 2553027, member: 123550"] It’s more an indictment of our educational system and how it’s literally failed everyone. There is no such thing as a good, rigorous, public education. If you want a good education for grade school and secondary school you have to pay for it. The flip side of the coin now however, is that with college you still pay (a lot), and you most likely will still not get a solid education. I know this because I have a Master’s and was a teaching assistant and research assistant in college and the kids I taught (at 18 these individuals had the maturity of 12-13 year olds) could not think critically and could not write effectively (for example using proper grammar). The whole system is an absolute farce. Additionally, professors are absolutely simply telling these kids what to believe and indoctrinating them in progressive ideologies. The whole premise for the educational system shifting away from skills based to abstract thought and critical thinking skills was to prepare the future work force for highly skilled jobs in STEM and maintain technological superiority…..I can tell you from what I saw this battle is already lost, American kids can’t even tie their shoes without help and the grad programs were filled with Foreign students.
