[QUOTE="bomberodevil, post: 1709643, member: 23175"] You’re going to get a ton of opinions, but here’s mine. I have a pair of Swarovski 10x42’s that I’ve had for 25 years. I sent them in a year ago, and had them upgraded to HD. They are very clear, and they have been my go-to carry glasses for many years. In AZ, we do a lot of long-range glassing for hours. I was ready to spend $2300 for Swarovski 15x56 for tripod use. I looked through the Cabela’s Euro 15x56 (Meopta’s), and I really can’t tell the difference. I got the Euro’s on Black Friday for $1200, half the price for the Swarovski. This is the good old days for optics. We have more choices for great glass than ever before. I just re-scoped my 30.06 with a Maven RS-1, and it’s as good as a $2000 scope, for a lot less. If you can afford the top tier glass, go for it. But the barely second tier glass today is really good.
