I have to agree with Figjam... I have had GREAT luck with four Viper Vortex 4-16 X 44 HS-T scopes on Sako 85 in .260 Rem, Weatherby Camilla in 7mm-08, Fierce CT Edge in 7mm-08, and Weatherby Mark V in .300 Wby Mag. The optics are bight and clean as my Leopolds and German optics and the BDC tracks great. I also have a Viper Vortex 2-7 x 35 on my Sako 85 in .375 and I like that one too.Took the Camilla, Sako 85 (in .375) Mk V to Africa a couple of weeks a go and went 6 for 6 one shot kills on Plains/Dangerous game. I have a Vortex spotting scope that is the best I've ever owned and a couple of pair o great binoculars. I am not averse to paying top $$$ for top end piece of equipment I "must have" but I prefer bang for your buck. In my mind Vortex Optics are better than bang for your buck. My wife lost her scope caps right before leaving on the Africa trip so I called Vortex to order a new one. They sent me one for free overnight. Judging from all the negative comments here I must be the luckiest Vortex consumer on the planet. NO, I do not work for Vortex:-)!...but I do wholeheartedly recommend their product.
