I wanted to share with you guys that we have been using a pre production NightForce NXS 5.5-22x56mm with the new MOAR reticle. I have always been a NP-R1 fan, but this scope steps the game up for sure! Construction and versatility has not changed from it's predecessor. It still has the 1/4 MOA Highspeed Zero Stop Turret, 56mm glass, etc... It is the Reticle that has us so interested right now. The standouts are the free floating center crosshair, and the thicker line subtension. The line subtension in this MOAR reticle is .140 as opposed to .070 from the NP-R1. This surely helps distinguish the center crosshair hold on the animal's vitals in low light conditions. Also the free floating center crosshair, directs your eye to the center aiming point all the time, taking away the feeling of double checking that your aiming point is centered before the you take the shot. NightForce has a winner on their hands with this one! We always maintain that we only use the products in the field we can trust and stand behind from personal success. With that said we will be taking a ton of shots this year behind the new MOAR reticle! If anyone is interested in getting one of their own, let us know? We have some on order currently, and should be getting them shortly.
