I feel like this is a good time for me to step in and hopefully alleviate some of the tensions that are in this thread. My name is Robby Benedict and I am the Commercial Sales Manager for Rugged Ridge Outdoor Gear. While many of you are obviously on the Bipod Buddy band wagon, I would doubt that all that have posted their opinions have actually put their hands on our new Extreme Rear Support System. I personally have played with the bipod buddy and for a $40 product it can get the job done. Some have made statements that our product is a "knock off" and have labeled it as an inferior product. Other than the fact that both products are designed to support the rear of a rifle, I in no way see how it could be labeled as a knock off. I am in no way bashing a product or saying that we have introduced the end all be all solution, but here is what I do see. The bipod buddy is a product that stood alone in a market overwhelmed by bulky sand bags and other less than ideal rear supporting solutions. Our product is a new spin on an old need of shooters. I would urge the skeptics to actually put your hands on the product before allowing your bias to degrade a truly premium level offering. While comparing the Bipod Buddy to the Extreme Rear Support System is like comparing apples to oranges, here is what we feel separates our product for those looking for a higher end option. - Weight - Fit and Finish/ Quality of Materials - Functionality - Premium Level Price Tag ($125) There will continue to be a market for both products, just like there is a market for factory rifles vs. custom rifles. At the end of the day, there is an offering for a multitude of users with the potential to meet the needs of their intended use and their budget. I have strong respect for any successful product in this dynamic world we live in. In the end, if you take anything away from this long winded post, I hope it is this. We strive to produce the highest quality products possible because we are not only in the business to sale these products, but we are also seeking to have our own personal desires in products fulfilled. With that being said, I hope that until you have actually tried this product, that you will keep your opinions geared towards what you have actually tried. Give others that are willing to see the benefits of this product a chance to do so on their own merits. -
