You will definitely see a marketing "shift" toward the US/North American consumer market this year and in the years to come. You've got to understand that Meopta has always been a European company (actually owned by Americans) and their scopes and reticles have been a product of what hunters in Europe want. i.e. a lot of the #4 style reticles which is the primary base reticle over there. Just like our Z plex/duplex style as the basic reticle here. The new Optika line is a huge step in this direction. Will it need some tweaking over the next couple years to get the right reticles and features in the right scopes? sure. However, I think that there is definitely something that will work great for anyone in this line whether they want to just go shoot at 1,000 yards on the range or just a straight hunting scope with more basic features, it's there. It is actually quite impressive what they have done considering the entire Optika line (scopes and binos) went from an idea to being able to deliver product in just over a year....that typically takes several years to do. When you combine the optical quality, precision engineering, and their experience of making optics since 1933 in a price range of 499-$899, it is going to be extremely hard to find something better. To make this huge push into the American markets, they have hired rep groups, of which I am one, across the entire country to get Meopta into sporting goods dealers everywhere. I will tell you, we have been very successful so far and the quality and value of Meopta as a whole has been easily recognized by very seasoned optics buyers. Please, anyone, do not hesitate to ask questions and I will try my best to answer them or point you in the right direction. I am not claiming to be the foremost expert on everything Meopta, but I generally do have the most up to date info on offering, prices, specs, etc.
