Well I have a full custom ti and carbon creed done by pierce. 2.5-16 bushnell on top makes it just under 7 pounds with the eh5 stock. So as you all have felt what next? I didn’t want to spend much as I’m building a new house and determined to spend more hunting now. So bought a Howa Mini in 6.5 Grendel, sent it out to twisted barrel and had him cut down to 16” and heavily flute it. Then I topped it with the swfa 2.5-10 ultra light scope. It’s a carry gun for deer and pigs out to 300 yards for my father who’s getting old. Well it ended up at just a hair over 5lbs ready to hunt. Very light and easy to shoot. Plus it looks great with all the fluting of the barrel and bolt. Got the first 20 rounds down it and it’s well under 1” at 100 and that’s not trying much for groups. Now I’m on to load work work up with the 99gr hammer hunters. The 99gr should be a solid performer at that distance and fairly flat shooting. Can’t wait till season now. Might have to hit up a game ranch earlier.
