Hello, I'm new on here, and relatively new to shooting. I just joined up with my school's Practical Shooting Sports Team here at Oklahoma State. I am also a member of the Army ROTC which is playing a big role in the shooting club. A lot of the guys are interested in steel shooting, 3 gun, and various other fast paced competitions, but I am mainly interested in long range. 300+, 500+, 1000, etc. I'm mainly looking for recommendations for a good starting rifle, scope, ammo, etc. So I'll poke around here and there after I'm done reading the Marksmanship Basics threads.
