I did some LR shooting with my M70 .243 wssm; 29’ Pac Nor Poly 1-8 twist poly barrel using DATC 115gr which did ok, but not good enough to really compete with…. The twist really should’ve been 1-7.5 or 1.7 twists’…, so I switched to the lighter bullets, the 107’s and 105’s. Here’s a couple of load’s that might help you get started. (1)107gr. Sierra Mk, H4350 {41.0grs}, Russian KVB-7 primer, WW case. (a)Vel’s 2994 fps 5 shot’s SD 10 fps (b)Vel’s 2999 fps 5 shot’s SD 11 fps Accuracy was very good, Yeah I thought my P35 was broke on the second five, it was working just fine, pressure? No problem in my rifle. (2)105gr. Berger VLD, IMR 7828 SSC {43.0grs} W-W WLRM primer, WW case (a)Vel’s 2990 fps 10 shot’s SD 29 fps Accuracy was on the mark for ten shots, just at 0.50 inch. Pressure seemed fine. My goal was to try and stay as close to .3000 fps as I could, the .243 wssm as no problem breaking 3000 buy quite a margin, however I wanted to shoot the barrel for awhile. I’ve done other work on the .243 wssm with; IMR 4350, WRX, RL19 and RL22 but'..., they’ll need a little more testing. The one that might bring home a win is Hodgdon… Hybrid 100V and another that seem to have a few qualities I’m looking for in LR bullet weight is IMR 4007 SSC Good luck. 436
