I opened up my receiver and base to #8-40 screws already, my base is bedded to my receiver with release only on the screws (though when I have done this in the past it still just pops off when the screws are taken out) and I lapped my rings well and have them torqued down good with locktite all around, so that should keep everything tight I'm hoping. Also my optic isn't overly heavy at 25 oz's. Hoping that will keep everything consistent and eliminate any possible future points of failure.</p></blockquote><p></p>
