A friend of mine purchased a new Mark V Hunter and asked if I help mount a new scope. The Base he purchased is a Warne Model 7653M 0 MOA base. The screws are 6-48 by 0.45 inches overall length. When the screws are installed the bottom out on the bolt in the back of the rifle and the front screws hit the barrel where it screws in the receiver. I have another set of screws that are 0.33 overall length but the threads only stick out about 0.06” which is about 3 threads. Any advice on moving forward would be appreciated.
