I don't own a 4x4 but last fall I was looking for a little knock around .223 to ride around in the truck with me and I stumbled into a review of the mossburg MVP. Well I happen to find one at the local gun shop and picked it up. I was a little hesitant about the action as it felt pretty cheesy, but the looks and feel of the rifle sold me so I bought one and let me tell you it is a suprising little rifle. I never shot any factory ammo just broke the barrel in with a some hand loads I had and started load developement. It didn't take too long to see it liked heavier pills and I settled in with 69 grain smk's which worked out well since I had that bullet in mind when I bought it. Well long story short this little rifle will shoot .5 or better at 100 yards and I think if I bed the action and tinker with it a little more it will shoot even better. If I had a bitch it would be the length of pull is mighty short, but nothing you can't get used to. All in all I would take it over any of the ar-15's I have owned cause I have always been a bolt gun guy and having the ability to use 20 or 30 round mags for rock chucks and gophers is awesome. Here is a pick
