Guys, take it from me - a bull over 40" is a MONSTER. I managed a 39.5" a few weeks before Paul's trip and joined him on this trip for the last 2 days. Much hard work and the best we managed between Paul and myself for another buddy will tape just under 40" after the compulsory "drying period". That 43 incher is really something very very special. I hope Paul get's those pictures sorted so that you don't need a mganifying glass. I would have posted a green icon, but couldn't find one! By the way, there are moves afoot at Roland Ward to change the trophy criteria to exclude all female animals. With Oryx most top entries are female as the horns grow longer and thinner and although more prone to breaking their is less lilihood of damage from sparring and fighting. Many Oryx bulls are covered in battle scars and cuts, often many still bloody and fresh from their ongoing sparring. These Gemsbuck (Oryx) bulls are to my mind the quintessential Kalahari Desert trophy - when hunted on foot of course as Paul did. I won't congratulate him here again in case his head swells too much. We don't drive trucks as big as yours in the US here and the cabs are a lot smaller :-) WL
