Just got a message that Griffin & Howe are running a long range match in New Jersey 100 - 900 yards for anyone interested and here in the North East and Eastern US. I'm hopeing to be able to attend. Below is the information if anyone is interested.



he Griffin & Howe Precision Rifle Steel Challenge, will be the first ever match hosted by G&H at the beautiful Hudson Farm. Presented in conjunction with our partners from Swarovski Optik, Defiance Machine, Proof Research, and MGM Targets.


The competition will be a big game theme that will test the shooters accuracy and precision. There will be a semi physically demanding, 10 state course of fire, taking place on the longest rifle range in New Jersey.


Participants will be given time limits to engage steel targets from various shooting positions and obstacles, ranging from 100 to 900 yards.


Recommendations/Requirements:


  • Meals and beverages provided at the conclusion of the competition

  • Course of fire will consist of targets from 100-900 yards. 8-12 rounds fired per stage

  • Course of fire will be emailed to all participants 72 hours in advance of event

  • Bolt action rifle capable of 1 MOA or better

  • Detachable magazine recommended

  • Scope with target-style adjustable elevation turret

  • Ballistic data confirmed to 900 yards

  • 100 rounds of match grade ammo

  • Maximum caliber size of 30 cal, maximum velocity 3150 fps

  • Range finder, rear bag, bipod, tripod, sling, pack, quick snacks

Time:


8:00am – Registration on Rifle Range


8:15am – Safety Speech & Course of Fire Review


9:00am – Start of 10 Stage Course


4:00pm – BBQ at Pro Shop

No denim pants, No T-Shirts; Collared shirt required (polo or fishing style)
