I had the same question not long ago and had a hard time finding good info. I have been reloading the 168's in my factory Rem 700 7mm RMag, for a few weeks. I started loading h4831sc, and had some success, my gun took 3.4 grains over Bergers listed max before it started showing pressure, but i had pretty consistent fliers, making my groups well over 1". My velocities got up to 2824 fps. but had a extreme spread of over 50. I switched to H1000 and pretty sure i'm hooked. I started low at 66 and quickly worked up to 69 grains, every increment between shot close to 1". Once i got up to 69 i chronied the load and found it at 2849 with an extreme of 9 and a deviation of 4. I shot 5 3shot groups that measured from .290" to .499" center to center. That's what I stuck with and went to the long range. I started at 1000 and it took me 3 shots with a spotter to get on target, and my group was well under 10" once i got on target. There was zero wind that day so it was easy to dope and was really able to see my load's performance and not mine. The surprising thing i found was my gun hated having the bullets seated close or into the lands, i have them off 75 thousandths before they started grouping well.
