Well, the ‘Thin Blue Line’ has gone ‘up North’ to it’s new home…..and without further ado……here’s “Malleus”!! Went up to Dry Ridge, Ky this past Friday and met up with Jeff Hankins who did the barreled action for me. First, let me say that it was an honor to meet and hang out with Jeff. He took time out of his crazy-busy schedule to show me around his shop and explain how everything works while my daughter played with his dogs ‘Lapua & Rogue’. Jeff is one heckuva ‘down to earth’ guy and his Machining/Gun Smithing is second to none. I’m really looking forward to shooting at his Kentucky Challenges and meeting some of his message board members……if I can ever get the scheduling to work out. Here’s some specs on ‘Malleus’: -Defiance ‘Outcast’ action w/bead blast finish -Brux 26” 1-20 twist #17 contour w/bead blast finish -Defiance 20 moa scope rail -Hankins ‘Master Blaster’ brake -H.I.S ignition -Jewell Trigger set at 1 lbs -Hawkins Oberndorf bottom metal (jaoutdoors) -HS Precision PST025 fully adjustable stock (bedded Devcon 10110) Nightforce NXS 5.5-22X50 MOAR-T reticle bedded into Warne steel rings
