I've only seen 3 mountain lions in the wild in all my hunting days also. I'm 49 now. First 2 in my twenties while living in Colorado. The third was in Utah running across the road but it ran a little up the road so I got about 4 seconds of viewing. The first one I seen gave me some chills and I headed out of the area always looking behind me till I got to my truck. I probably made it to my truck faster than I ever have before in the dark or well right at dusk. The second was with a friend and we watched it about 600 yards away circling around a bowl as we were circling around lower. We finally watched it head over the top and out of site. It seem like it was somewhat watching us but it also seem like it had somewhere to be going as it got past us up on the mountain it kept moving and over the top out of site. This was near Gunnison Co. The last one was up near Strawberry Reservoir Utah.
