I think with most 140 bullets and velocities over 2800 the 6.5 CM will generate 62K-64K pressures. I load 43.5 gr. AA 4350, from LGS's & 130 ELDM's @ 2850. I got 200 pieces of cheap 1X fired SRP Federal brass that I load with CCI 41's. It's accurate with five at .5" at 100 but I can't find my 10 shot stat sheet workup giving averages, extreme spread, & hi-low 95% probability distributions, but as I remember it was real good. The loaded 6.5CM rounds fit good in my S/A, Ruger M77 MKII rifle's magazine - throated out so it fits good in the SA magazine. Brass life is real good with tight primer pockets. Should I need to shoot deers I would go for the pricy 127 Barnes LR. 47 grains of R-S Hunter with a 120 gives & the 6.5 CM gives close to 3,100 from my 26" 8 twist barrel. I think the thief, at first, thought the ammo was some sort of .243 or .308 & planned to salvage primers & bullets. 100 bullets & primers would be worth $35-$70 depending. Could that IHMSA round be jammed into a .243W chamber & cause some horrible KABOOM? I had my 6.5X47 barrel set back 1/2 inch & rechambered to 6.5-06 to shoot 130's at 3,000. I have lots of free .270W range brass.
