It’s another case of right tool for the job. Different terrain requires different tools. Different parts of different states. If I hunt the desert south of my house my bipod is worthless with a sea of truck size sagebrush. But one hour north and I’m shooting timbered ridge to ridge and use that bipod often. The Spartan has definitely made me feel better about it only weighing a few ounces and staying off the rifle till needed. I agree the newer tripods with arca heads have been replacing the need for my bipod most of the time and switching from outdoorsmans stud binoc to tripod to gun this year has been super fun and easy transitions. Find it with your binocs, confirm you wanna shoot it with your spotter, and slide in your rifle and sometimes you wouldn’t even need to move the tripod! It’s been a joy to use and light enough to take into the backcountry even.
