Okay, so im new to this. I have rifle hunted for years, but have ever REALLY understood what goes into making an accurate rifle, so i am coming to the source where i have found most of my knowledge so far! I am primarily a bow hunter, and just recently purchased a used Weatherby Mark V in 7mm. I took it to the gun smith after i was unable to chamber rounds smoothly. The cartridge is not able to line up with the aftermarket barrel on the gun during the process of chambering a round. (excuse my ignorant terminology, im working on it, i swear!) Long story short, the barrels threads had been machined off center so the head space is incorrect, the barrel will not tighten, and wants to unthread as it is shot. He can not re-thread due to not enough material. Thus, i need a new barrel... My question is, from research, is it that difficult to find a good barrel with out a 4-6 month lead time? I am going to have him replace it with a Lilja barrel hopefully, but i am concerned this will take months, and i wont be able to get my rifle setup in time to use confidently during hunting season this fall. Are there any outlets you guys know of to find a barrel that is in stock, good quality, and able to be here in time? Sorry if this is a ramble, has been answered countless times, or is just plain ignorant! Thanks for any insight! Shawn
