I ordered in a stock remy sps dbm 308, had excessive headspace the bolt lugs had been FILED on. and were making 10 percent contact and not flat or square. Returned to distributor for a replacement, This one had a tool broke off in the barrel and spun out manually, Lands were MISSING. That gun was rebarreled and stocked and now shoots sub 1/2 moa. The bad barrel was milled in half and to this day still sits proudly on my store front counter as an example of Remingtons quality. The most recent SS sps had less than .020 primary extraction. It was for a custom job so no big deal I blue printed it and sent it to Nathan for a new timed and tigged handle. They are fine actions if the quality control is good but latly that has suffered, and if it continues, then what. I am sure most guys would pay $100 more if they new the product was A-1 right from the start. I forgot to add the 3 sps ultra mags I ordered in to strip down, every one showed corosion expelling out of the lug barrel joint, And I mean ugly, if some one can post a pic I'll e-mail it to them. You will not believe it when you see it.
