I live in north eastern wa. and it is the best hunting in the state if you ask me. I put in for a new doe second deer tag unit and realized that there was not hardly any state land to hunt so i started knocking on farmers doors and found a huge farm with all kinds of oppertunity, we got three does in a couple nights. We hunted for bucks in a familar unit that i hunt and dropped a 200lb 4x4 buck he was a bute. We had a challange the late hunt the deer just werent answering to grunts or doe bleets or raddling, it was very irratating. It snowed for two days straight and all my buddies had to go back to the other side of the mountain so i went out the last day of late hunt and there were deer all over i seen three bucks within an hour, i shot a buck with only one antler wierd deer but did excellent shot off shoulder @ 150yrds thru the neck dropped like a box of rocks. Two deer in freezer, Ye ha!!!! Drew a cow elk tag for January in Mnt saint Hellens area, very excited for that,, should be like taking candy from a baby, wish me luck. I love my Sako M995 338 i would not replace it with anything it is incredible, i shoot 210grn barnes tsx tripple shock and imr 4350 and it knocks things down, and the great thing is, you can eat all the way to the hole, theres no blood shot usually. Well i hope everone is blessed this season and harvests there animals, GOD put them here for us. gun)
