Looking for a decent stock that weighs 2lbs (at most). Synthetic is ok. Don't really want an injection molded one though.
The synthetic can be beat up. I can fix it and repaint. A wood stock is fine as long as it doesn't look like a hewn log. I can refinish and recut checkering, etc.
I'm going to fit it with a 6.5x55 barreled action I bought 3-4 years ago from Bud's when they had a big fat sale. Project has been on the back burner and needs to be resurrected.
