Sami I shoot at dusk all the time with my AR-15, Ive mentioned before A shooting buddy has the same rifle I have, but with a Leupold on it, His is a 30mm tube and a 50mm obj lens, Ive got a 42mm obj and a 1" tube. We both shoot up untill its too dark to see, And the difference between the two is a matter of minutes, And that is because of the bigger obj and tube dia. Yes the Leupold is higher quality but for the price of a new gun it better be. but with that said the difference between the two scopes doesnt give him an advantage or hinder my ability to make the shot, I really think people have misunderstood what Im trying to say, NO a Tasco or Barska whatever isnt a Swarovsky or a Ziess or an Acog, Unless you havn't been affected by recent Economical events, Hell Even If you have the money, buying the "best" to a point WILL NOT give you better results, Thats what Im trying to get across. Unless you end up with something that is defective or junk you wont be any better off. The whole point of this thread is to Help People Find Great Gear they CAN AFFORD, having 10k in the bank Doesnt mean you can afford to spend it My savings are going towards a down payment on a house. Thats the whole point Good Quality For great prices,We All Know That Stupid Expensive scopes Are good, Every Other post Is people Saying that youd be better off with a $1000 scope, because they are good. NO KIDDING! Lets Cut through The BS, If you can Afford a 2k scope, Or if you cant look past the name, or the price, Dont bother to read this thread. Its not for you. I know what I can Do, I know what My Rifle is Capable Of doing, those two Aren't the Same thing. Im not there I may Never be, And A $500-$1000-$10,000 scope or rifle wont make me any better of a shot, A Rifle Garunteed To shoot .5 MOA Doesnt make the owner capable of doing it. Look At Carlos Hathcock 2,685yd shot with a 10x Unertl that man could shoot, And just now snipers are reaching that distance with the best equipment of today, He did it with GOOD from 40 yrs ago. So instead of going and buying the "best" Im trying to find stuff that Good enough, Id much rather save some money and get more trigger time, Or take my niece to A fair or whatever. So please If you have found something that Was a great Deal Good quality and not expensive. Even a great sale post it, PLEASE DONT tell us about how good something is, that costs more than I spend on rent for the month. Its not a Secret nor a surprise.
