Not sure why my post didn’t include my response but here we go. I agree with the Varget powder. My load for my rifles is a very accurate one. my load is as follows and should not be used by anyone . If you use it ,you do so at your own risk. I load my 308 Winchester with 46.5 grains of Varget powder Lake City Brass 150 gr. (Yes 150 gr.) Hornady SST Bullet Winchester Large Rifle primer I can shoot clovers out to 300 yards then it open at about 375 to 385 yards. At 400 it is about 1 inch and at 500 I’m at about 1 1/2 inches . I have 2 different 308 rifles shooting this well with this load 1 is my Henry Lever action. Yes I couldn’t believe it either but the bolt it self has 6 rotating locking lugs that lock it in place. Amazed me personally. The other is a Ruger American Predator rifle. All the shooting was done from a bench. 500 yards is all I can shoot here but I would love to see a 600 and 700 yard target with this. I wouldn’t hesitate to take a Elk or Deer with this. just my rambling.
