Whatever faults the NRA has, they are still helping us fight against people who really have no clue what America was intended to be (thank you Founding Fathers for this great nation!) The NRA helps stave off those who have no interest in what the Constitution (to include the Bill of Rights) says. The NRA gives 'voice' to the 100,000,000 + gun owners (even though only 5,000,000 can "bother" to support the NRA...so sad :( ) I've been watching this 'battle' between pro-rights groups (like the NRA & GOA) and the let's-just-do-what-feels-right-in-the-moment-groups (like Bloomberg, Giffords, et al) for 40 years. It's always the same - they want our side to 'compromise'. Then compromise again. Then again. What that means is lost rights, more lost rights, ending with no rights. Then we are merely the UK, Australia, and every other European and Asian nation that has forfeited freedom for security, only to discover they got neither. Free people are called CITIZENS and they have rights; enslaved people are called SUBJECTS and they have priveleges. Without the NRA, we'd have transited to SUBJECT status many years ago. God bless America and those that still fight for her, to include the NRA and GOA. For those that support with dollars and votes, THANK YOU! For those that find 'excuses' to not join or get to the ballot box on election day...search your heart. For the price of a box of shells, you could get a membership and truly help. And for 30 minutes of your time in a polling place, we could 'flip' the switch on the Progressives looking to undo the greatest nation on earth. I'd appreciate it, as would my son (and your kids and your grandkids.)
