30+ years ago we were flying the ranch looking for a Herford bull that we couldn't find. When we landed there was a Washington state game warden waiting for us. He ask us if we were going to hunt the opening day of deer season the next day ,we said yes and he told us he would ticket us due to the law (we cant fly and hunt within 24 hrs.) I told him that was BS.and the law didn't apply to us doing day to day farm duties. The next day he showed up on the ranch, drove around a locked gate then drove across a newly planted wheat field to where I was parked and checked my license and tried to give me a ticket. I told him he was going to get the ticket for trespassing and destruction of private property. The next day I went to the sheriff's office to have them issue a ticket and I was advised to let it die because the game department could make my hunting life bad. I let it die and since then Iv;e got my fare share of special draw tags. We became pretty good friends and he was always eager to help us if we had a wildlife problem
