Hey guys, I am going to try and resize 308 palma brass down to 6XC. I had a few spare minutes today to practice with some Win brass I had. My question is do I just have to go slow and keep neck turning/trimming the brass to keep from dimpling the shoulders and wrecking cases? Or is there a certain method that works better then others? I ran the brass through a redding neck sizer (type S) for 308 and neck turned to 12.5 thou. then into the 243 die and neck turned to 13 thou. after that I put the case in the 6XC FL sizing die just to where the shoulder hit the die, then turned it almost 3/4 of a turn the first time. After that i did just shy of a 1/2 turn each time along with neck turning and trimming. it seemed like when I did more then a 1/2 turn the brass came out with the shoulder dimples.
