[QUOTE="longarm338, post: 1080316, member: 90081"] Right now I'm working on some other loads. I was spot on with my guess of 64 gr being max for the 250 lazer. I left the rounds in the car as I was setting up the other day. By the time it came time to start sending rounds downrange, I'd say the temps were 95 to 100. Extreme spread was now over 30 fps and the bolt lift was ever so slightly sticky. 2 finger lift as opposed to one and there was the slightest hint of ejector swipe on some of the brass. So for hot weather it looks like I'm gonna have to back it down slightly with RL17. Its not horribly sensitive but definitely more so than Hodgdon's extreme powders. It still is the go to powder producing velocities far above everything else and very good accuracy as well. So far 60 gr is pushing the 250 gr Berger at 2600 fps with plenty of room for improvement. Also worked up to 70 gr under the 176 gr ER Raptor. Those are running right at about 3300 fps and should be an absolute hammer for deer sized game at all but extreme ranges.
