[QUOTE="rtsj, post: 852355, member: 49140"] Been wanting to build my first custom rifle for some time and about a yr ago i decided i was going to use my first rifle for the donor action. It was a 89 model 700 LH BDL in a 270. After lots of research i ordered a #3 Rock barrel and a McM Edge stock. Finally decided after lots of deliberation on the 6.5 Sherman, thanks Rich!!!:D When all parts were in off she went to Jon Beanland to screw it all together. Kudos to Karl for fluting the barrel, bolt and skeletonizing the bolt handle. Jon swapped out the bold knob and did all the cerakoting. Got it back a few months ago and topped it with a Leupy 3-18x44 VX-6 w/ firedot and set in a set of 30mm lows. Weights in at 7.74lbs. Not an ultralight but light enough for an all day carry.
