[QUOTE="1984nitro, post: 431157, member: 24113"] So here is my Long Range 270 win. This rifle was given to my for my 12th bday for deer and elk. I hunted with it for many years with no modifications taking a lot of deer and some great ones. Longest shot was around 350 yds. After hunting season last year I decided to get it ready for longer range. Specs: Action: Trued Marlin MR-7 free (gift) Stock: original remodeled free Trigger: reworked by myself Barrel: 26" pac nor heavy palma (trued and lapped) $580 Chamber: 270 win Scope: Nikon Bushmaster $310 Total: $890 This rifle hit everything it is pointed at out to 833yd (farthest I have shoot it) Shooting a 1/4" 3 shoot group @ 100 yd not the first choice for long range but fit the bill for my low cost budget. Also I put a recoil reducer tube in the butt stock and made a homemade retracting recoil pad make it able to watch impacts at 100 yd and out.
