This was out of Chatham Ma. Close to the beach about 1.5 miles offshore.. There were big fish like close to double the weight of this one in 15-30' of water chasing bait. There were also some up inside Province town harbor. 3 weeks ago a friend caught one from his house boat in the harbor.. Today I was out as long as I could be. Landed an undersized fish about 150# low 60's in length. When the seas started to get closer together it was time for me to leave. It was sporty yesterday with 4' seas at 8+ seconds. Today it was bigger and much closer together making it something other than fun. After fighting the little one for about 5 minutes my deck was awash. Thankfully it was over and I could get the boat moving to get the water out of the scuppers. Had it been like yesterday with a 40 minute fight it would have been sketchy to say the least. I went home after a buddy I fish with was getting ready to pack it in. Now with 2 people it would have been fine. When you get these systems coming the bite goes nuts. But the weather builds fast. This morning was dead calm till 7. I post some sunrise pics so you can get an idea of what was to come later
