What an awesome hunt! Thank you for sharing and I loved your write up and pics I agree they are tough and I think 6.5, 7mm or bigger would be recommended. I would love to hunt them this way but I have taken and seen approx 20 of these critters taken off local exotic ranches when they break through the fences and we got permission to eradicate them(easier said then done). Anyway, they are SHEEP not deer. They are constructed a little tougher but they are narrow through the chest and I believe their nervous system reacts less to shock than a deer species so they aren't necessary harder to kill just be aware it takes a little longer in most cases for the same shot on a deer. The rams can be deceiving with their beautiful chaps making them look bigger then they are and causing poor placement by hunters. That being said my buddy shot a pile of these with his 22hornet at around 100yds and they would go down quick. I watched him take a 32" ram with the little 22hornet(his truck gun) and he dropped in his tracks w\o even a kick....SHOT PLACEMENT is always key! They aren't bullet proof you just need to hit them in the pump room. Thanks again to mta672 for doing such a good write up on a successful hunt! James
