[QUOTE="DSheetz, post: 2102527, member: 91783"] If you decide that you want to be good at hunting coyote the best advice I can give you is to keep studying the coyote themselves . You can only learn so much from others as what they really know about it is limited to the amount they have learned . You need to think about all the other things that go into being a good coyote hunter or any type of hunter . We all can and do get lucky with calling coyote , few of us ever get to the point that we want to do more then recreational coyote hunting and that is fine . I have even seen some of the people that were supposed to be doing it for a living that never really became good at it they just went through the motions of it and got by . I have seen those that would only fly for them , or those that would only trap or snare or that only wanted to call that's what they wanted to do and it's fine . I wanted something different for myself I wanted to be good at it all so I could stop the problem coyote as fast as I could for the ranchers and help them stay in business as well as have a sense of satisfaction from doing a good job . And that doesn't happen over night or even a couple of years or by only being there a couple of months a year . You have to put in the time and study to get real good at anything you want to be good at . I read and listen to people that say things that don't apply to my area but I know that because I have studied the coyote in my area and still do so .
