I built my own out of bits and pieces. Started with a 116 Savage, a Boyd's heavy thumbhole varmint stock that I reworked to fit me (lop and grip to trigger) bedded (JBWeld high density, threadded lamp tubing for pillars), new recoilpad to lop. Polished and adjusted Rem oem trigger, a 31.5 in Green River 5r barrel (used from net) Gentry break, barrel re-thread barrel cut custom wildcat chamber (7mmValkyrie magnum, PT&G chamber reamer and guages), mod 300 wm brass necked to 7mm with other changes) mount break (alll barrel work done by a guy that I met on a forum, great workmanship), new bottom metal with a 3.85 mag that I stretched slightly, can't remember brand of scope mounts, 6x24x56 Ao Swift scope. There may be more but it's been a few years since I did it. Didn't get to finish the testing due to health, but was shooting 1 hole groups at 100 yds. Shot 1 med size deer at +/- 300 yards. Extensive damage to back of left shoulder exiting base of neck on right side. Looking forward to hopefully getting back to testing maybe end of summer. Custom 3 die set. Ultimately wanting 1k plus yards with high bc bullets. That's all that I can remember right now. Waited 4 plus months for reamer, they sent the br valkyrie instead of mag. dies, but they got that straight in another month. The reamer and guages worked very well, nicely finished. Weighs almost 19 lbs. I think that total I have about $2500-3000 invested total and enjoyed the build greatly.
