Just completed my first "nice" rifle build. I generally play with various Savage combinations so it's been fun to step into Rem clone side of things. Got the barreled action from the classifieds here. It's an older Christensen long action from when they were reworking 700s, one of their 9 twist carbon wrapped tubes, and a Triggertech Special. Added a 4 port brake from Nate at MBM (highly recommend), PTG bottom metal, and an ugly old McMillan Game Scout I picked up on the cheap. Opened up the barrel channel (little slim but works just fine), had it bedded, and did a rattle can refinish as the original tan was all chipping and ratty looking. Vortex Razor HD LHT 3-15X42 in a pair of their $60 middle of the road rings. The fancy Murphys Ti 20 moa rail was on the action when I bought it. All told with a not-pictured SRS arca rail for bipod mounting she's 9 lbs on the nuts. Pretty excited so far, guess it's time to see how she shoots!
