[QUOTE="trhall, post: 2039519, member: 26233"] Not to brag or hammer on you but food for thought. The last time this happened when O'bummer first got elected I swore to myself that I was not going to get caught like that again as I knew it would happen again. It's going to be a way of life for us to always have something going on driving shortages of reloading components and ammo. I spent alot of $$$ over a few years buying enough components and ammo so that I would be set for the rest of my life. Now, there's always a new powder I'd like to get my hands on and I'd really like to get one more 8 lb jug of H1000 and at some point when it shows back up again I will. But until then I have plenty, one more would just be insurance that I'll never need anymore. This is also the main reason that I decided to go with a 6.5-06 AI instead of a PRC because brass has always been difficult to get for the PRC and now you can't even get ammo. I'll never run out of 25-06, 270, or 30-06 brass so that will never be a problem for me going with a 6.5-06. I would have preferred to build a 6.5 PRC as no need for custom dies, fireforming, etc but the reality of the world we live in today made me compromise. I wish you the best of luck in your search for reloading components. Unfortunately I don't think this situation is going to improve quickly so in the meantime you might think about compromising and trying whatever the best bullet is you can get and the same goes for powder and primers. You might not be able to get max performance but at least you might be able to get shooting until what you really want becomes available. Sounds like you are just getting started reloading.
