You already have some pretty decent Nosler brass from those factory loads you shot, assuming you saved the brass. I have never shot a 300 RUM, but I really like the 180 grain Accubonds in my 300 Winchester Magnum. The factory 300wm Nosler Trophy Grade ammo for the 180 cost roughly $3+ per round, but using Nosler brass and those 180ABs I'm able to handload with more velocity and tighter groups for around $1/round, and there's not much in North America I wouldn't be able to hunt with those loads at the distances I hunt (typically less than 500 yards, but one day I'll get to stretch it out). If I were to hunt further out, I would consider a heavier bullet, because why not?
Sporter barrel and factory setup, so guessing this is a dedicated hunting rifle? Is the 1:10" twist assumption correct also? If yes to both, I'd start with hunting bullets and cull the options from there. What will you be hunting, and at what distances?
