The action screws were actually bottoming out. I cut 3 threads off of them and still have plenty of room. Another problem I'm having is that the rear of the magazine box is high. The floor plate still latches, but I want to make sure it's not going to pop open on me. If I shim up the bottom metal at the front and rear screws it works perfectly, but then the metal is about an 1/8th of an inch out past the stock. I have no room on the top end either without the tang sticking up. So do I grind down the magazine box or build up the stock around the bottom metal or tang? Or should I just leave it as is?
