Jordan, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Silent Mountain Outfitters, located in Southeast BC . I hunted there for goats in October 2017. The owner, Tom, is a heck of a nice guy, and very honest. It is NOT a fly in hunt. You can drive from either Cranbrook or Calgary. If you fly in to Cranbrook, they would likely give you a ride to save you the cost of a rental car. They do some backpack hunting, or you might hunt from a cabin and do day hikes. I think it largely depends on the time of year you go. The fly in hunts in BC will likely cost you an extra $1000 to $1800. Unless you really have your heart set on flying in, this type of hunt is a much better option IMO. There is not a lot of resident pressure on mountain goats. I'm not sure why, but there just isn't. Most of the resident pressure seems to be for moose. This type of hunt is a lot cheaper, and a lot more flexible. Also, you won't lose any days because you weren't able to fly due to bad weather. I think he is currently charging $10,500. When I went, he gave me a mule deer tag at no extra cost. I'm not sure if he is still doing that, but it was great knowing that you could still hunt once you got your goat. My hunt was in mid October, and we got some really tough weather all week. We saw goats nearly every day, but everything was so socked in that we weren't able to glass up very high. I finally got a billy on the last day, but I'm sure it would have happened a lot sooner if we had good weather. I hope this helps. Feel free to message me if you have any questions. Good luck, Dennis
