That I don't know, maybe .750 to get to the 2" breech they mention? 1" is standard off the muzzle.
Barrel has 2.750 of steel at breech, 2.125 steel at muzzle, 27.125" oal.

The cartridge chamber will take out all you need off the breech end. It's the 1" off the muzzle end that is important.
