I will be closing my BofA account as soon as my divorce is over (there needs to be accounting consistencies so this is why Im taking this route). The funny thing is so little people here understand why some need a national bank. If you had to travel consistently 4-10 times a year and the local bank/credit union had no chance of helping you 2000 miles away then that is why a national bank is needed. I'm not knocking anyone that stays local for 95% of their time just that everyone needs not be so narrow minded about why others choose the avenues they do. I am also in business and if anyone wants to twist the numbers they can use fancy language and ratios that don't make sense to the majority of you. My dad is an electrician, if he tells me about something and uses specific jargon I have no clue but if he explains himself then I have a GENERAL idea. It is the same with business language. If you read the article Heather McMillan clearly states that the majority of us would do the same no matter what reputable company took this stance. I love the knowledge of this site but some of these comments are just ridiculous. Lets be know for sound knowledge and not slander like "The High Road" site is known for. To punish BofA we need to jointly take a stand and send pointed emails to these executives about why we are separating our ties to them. when the bottom line and stock price falls is only when they will listen. If their pocket books aren't effected then why should these executives care? Think about it! Bitching without sound knowledge or a course of action is just bitching, nobody will listen! Continue all you want but it will have no effect on the situation.
