Thanks Guys! Steve, I plan to do a couple of threads to review my experiences. I plan on leaning on the 6-284 pretty hard to check barrel life. Will be reporting on fouling and cleaning as well. Tyler, The bore looks good as far as my poor eyesight can tell but i will definitely be scrubbing them. My smith will give them a look over with the borescope so I should get a pretty good idea of what condition they are in. I like the black color so no plans for Cerakote at the present time. Paul, I went with H&M. Very easy to deal with and can ship and receive directly. Their process is also a lower temp than melonite (1000* vs 1100*) and from what I've been told, the finish is more consistent, and from what I see, it's perfectly consistant although it might be hard to tell by the pics because of lighting. Also, the lower temps allow them to do cast actions which the S&W and Vanguard are.
