Great points on the Atlas and the Harris, I have multiples of both. As mentioned I feel the Harris is easier to deploy if needed while hunting in a quick situation. and again mentioned the Harris digs into the back for me as well while walking with it slung. but the harris's for me have been bullet proof and I find I use them more than the Atlas's. I recently switched to the BOG tripod system, I like it as it mounts on the sling stud, I can still use a sling and I carry around the tripod. The tripod locks in quick and is light to carry. If I have the height of the tripod pre set, it can deploy very quick and it makes a super stable sitting shooting position.
