It does work... and I did buy a case, lol. Passed a couple cans around to my buddies... guess that makes me the de-facto Maryland Wipe-Out distributor. It's not any faster than traditional methods, but it is a lot less work. I usually hit it once, and let it sit for 30 min to 1 hour, then punch it out. This removes the bulk of powder fouling, carbon, and some of the copper. Then I reapply, let sit 24 hours, punch it out again, and it is usually squeaky clean. (literally) When I went to the Chandler Precision Rifle I course, we would clean at least twice per day, only had about an hour or so... so I would dry-brush some of the crud out, apply Wipe-out, wait 15 mins, punch it out, apply hoppes #9, hit it with JB, apply Wipe-out again, leave it for as long as I had time, then punch it again, and remove the Wipe-out with alcohol. This would give me a good "field" cleaning, not 100%, but good enough to shoot some great groups. Some folks don't like to get their stuff that clean, but I don't like to let it build up. Went to Bulletfest V last weekend (full-auto shoot), ran about 600 rounds thru my AK, didn't clean till I got home. Two applications of Wipe-out, and she's as clean as a whistle Be sure to hit the bore with oil, if you're not going to shoot it right away, as Wipe-out strips the metal bare. Good Shooting, Marc
