[QUOTE="dakotamike, post: 853523, member: 63531"] Well, I went ahead and tried it. I used some Krylon Fusion and clear coated it with a matte. So far, I am pretty happy with the results. The colors I chose seem to blend well in the late fall dead grass or stubble. Hopefully it holds up as well as my paint job on my Savage. I did use a little camo gun wrap to cover up some of the stainless. In the winter time, I normally wrap everything with white vet wrap. The little Savage 17HMR travels with me year round. It has paid for its self a few times over just in racoons. It also come in handy with trapping.
