I currently have an NXS 8-32X56 that is not tracking properly. I have contacted NF and they gave me the procedure for sending it in, I just have not done it yet. They were very professional when I talked with them on the phone. When I dial the scope up, say from my 100 yard zero to 20+ moa for 1000 yards, then back to 100 I end up 1/4 to 1/2 moa high. I thought I had ring slipage, either the scope in the rings or rings to the base, or even the base slipping. After using double rings and pinning the base to the reciever the problem did not go away. I eventually took an identical scope from another rifle and mounted it up and the problem went away. So, yes you can have a NF that does not track, but as "code4" pointed out there are many other possibilities. If you are simply going by what your ballistic program says your dial up "should be" I doubt very seriously it is the scope. You might check the archives, there has been a lot of discussion on this site about why ballistic programs often do not match up with the real world. I assume your problem is vertical?? You can test by shooting a group at 100, then dial your scope 20 or 30 moa up, then back to zero. Shoot it again and see if your shot goes into the same group. Do that several times and if you are seeing your shots start to drift high or low then you may have a problem with the scope or mounting system. If it keeps putting shots into the same group then you do not have a problem with the scope or mounting system.
